The old harbour is a 10 min walk from the property. Travel: The local Reykjavik internal airport is a 5 min drive the international airport is 40 min drive car hire is not essential in Reykjavik as there are coaches to most attractions. The main coach station is 5 min away. Distances: The Blue Lagoon is 30 min drive The golden circle (Thingvellir national park 40 min drive, Geysir,1 1/2 hours Gullfoss 1. 40 hours) Further Details: There are so many attractions within walking distance of our apartment, the Hallgrimskirka Cathedral is a few hundred metres away, there are numerous restaurants and bars also within walking distance, the new music hall Harpa is a 10 min walk, the old harbour also. The main shopping street is two blocks away and there you will find all amenities, groceries, gift shops, fashion etc. The local spa swimming pool is Sundlaug Reykjavikur, it is only a 5 min walk.I can give detailed recommendations for Restaurants, bars and trips from my own experience as an Icelander.
